Formula 1 is back in the United States this weekend as the U.S. Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas will be the site of a thrilling few days for the sport.
As fans in the U.S. continue to get ready for the weekend, whether you're set to attend the race in person or watch from your home, one thing is for certain—the need for more gear.
Sure, standard T-shirts and hats are great, but arguably the most popular item for F1 fans of all ages are Lego sets. With its ever-growing collection, the Lego x F1 collab continues to impress.
While there's endless options from which to choose, as a lifelong racing fan myself I decided to rank my top five go-to sets for fans that will be a fun, added element as you cheer on your favorite team and drivers this weekend. Check out the full list below:
My No. 1 pick is the Ayrton Senna Helmet, a 931-piece display set that recreates the three-time world champion’s unmistakable yellow-and-green helmet and includes a Senna minifigure and signature plaque.
McLaren fans are sure to be chomping at the bit to build a large replica of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri's McLaren car from last year, which won the F1 Constructors' Championship. At a whopping 24 inches long, it immediately becomes a centerpiece for your office.
As one of the greatest race car drivers ever, it's only fitting to have Michael Schumacher's Ferrari F2004 on this list. Schumacher won his seventh F1 championship in 2004 with winning 13 of the 18 races that season.
This Lego set features a special minifigure and podium display along with a special stand to place the car on.
From diehard to casual fans, F1 The Movie was a hit for everyone as it put viewers into the sport like never before. Now, you can build the APXGP race car made famous from the movie. The set features two minifigures in Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce.
You can now build one of F1's greatest modern day drivers' helmets. This Lewis Hamilton helmet set features authentic logos and designs that he wears on his actual helmet.
The set comes with a stand for the helmet and a Hamilton minifigure.
