It will be interesting to see what mood Celtic fans are in on Thursday night against Beşiktaş in the Europa League.

There are two home Europa League fixtures remaining – against Beşiktaş, and then Marseille on January 21.
Not only are tickets still available for the Beşiktaş game, but the club are still trying to push ‘hospitality packages’ for the upcoming game, including Marseille, as they posted on social media.

By the time Marseille come to town, and bear in mind they are also in a world of mess in France, including financial trouble, Celtic could be dead and buried in Europe by then.
Three games in, and Celtic are already against it. No side has ever qualified past the league phase after losing their opening three matches.
That Marseille game will be match number seven of eight; more than likely, the Hoops will be all but eliminated by then if they continue in their current ways.
If fans aren’t selling out for this upcoming Beşiktaş tie, then expect empty seats upon empty seats for the visit of Marseille.
And if that happens, it’s exactly what the Celtic board deserve, even if it will make very little difference to them.
