Real Madrid reportedly plans to bring Jacobo Ramon back from Como next summer by activating a buyback clause worth less than €9 million.

Transfer reporter Matteo Moretto outlined the club’s intentions during an appearance on DAZN, as reported by Get Spanish Football News. The decision on whether Ramon would stay in Madrid’s first-team squad or be sold again would follow his return.

The 21-year-old has become a regular under Cesc Fabregas since moving to Italy in July 2025. After making 30 Serie A starts last season, he has continued to feature prominently in a Como team now competing in the Champions League.

Ramon scored in Como’s 4-1 victory over Manchester United on October 21, adding to two goals from Nico Paz and another from Tasos Douvikas. That performance gave a wider audience a look at the progress Fabregas’ side has made.

Other Como players are attracting attention, too. Chelsea has retained an interest in Lucas Da Cunha, although the midfielder signed a contract through 2031 during the summer. In Ramon’s case, Madrid’s reported buyback option provides a more direct route to a deal.

A return would take the defender back to the club where he spent most of his development. Madrid’s announcement of his move to Como noted that he joined the academy in 2013, aged eight, and progressed through the youth teams before making his senior debut in 2025. He also helped Madrid’s Under-19 team win three trophies in 2022-23.

He left a memorable contribution before departing, scoring the stoppage-time winner in Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Mallorca in May that year. He was also part of Spain’s European Under-19 Championship-winning squad in 2024.

Moretto’s report leaves Ramon’s eventual role open. Madrid would still have to decide whether his development at Como merits a place in its defense for 2027-28 or whether to consider offers from elsewhere.
