Slowly, but surely, the Los Angeles Rams are getting healthier by the minute. With Myles Garrett's 21-day practice window set to open this week, the team is on the verge of getting another playmaker back, this time on the offensive side of the ball.
On Monday, head coach Sean McVay said tight end Terrance Ferguson is likely to practice this week, as well.
"Good chance that we'll start Terrance's clock, as well," McVay said. "Looking more likely than not that we will, but want to see how he's feeling."
Ferguson has been on injured reserve since the Rams' loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 3. The second-year pass catcher had a breakout performance in Week 2, hauling in six catches off nine targets for 54 yards and one touchdown. In that victory over the New York Giants, Ferguson dropped multiple passes; thus, if he can find his rhythm, he could have a sudden statistical output that takes the team's 13 personnel offense to the next level.
Considering Ferguson's skill set, flexibility, and versatility, he's the perfect answer to their questions about tight end depth, especially as Colby Parkinson continues to deal with lingering health issues. Parkinson did not play last Sunday, forcing rookie Max Klare into action.
