"Vini is a fantastic person. He has never shied away from putting the team on his back and demanding the ball when things get tough. He doesn't hide," the now Getafe player told the Spanish daily, backing the Brazilian to rediscover his best form swiftly.

"What he is going through right now is never pleasant, but Vinicius Jr has bounced back from far tougher situations. He just needs to stay calm; he has recently renewed his contract, has his best years ahead of him, and possesses spectacular talent. We will see that unstoppable Vini back in no time," he stressed.

Turning his attention elsewhere, Carvajal also gave his take on the recent 'Clasico' and heaped praise on Kylian Mbappe. "I thought it was a cracking match. Both sides put on a great contest, but especially Real Madrid, who made a real statement. Mbappe? He is a beast, he was incredible," he concluded.
