The final competition took place on Monday, with an American Foursomes pairs event. Sandy Simpson and Vernon Ruffle won with an impressive seven-under-par round of 59.

Malcolm Smith and Ken Mylne finished second on countback, edging out Paul Kane and Paul Blay, with both pairs carding 60.

Complimentary bacon baps and coffee warmed all the competitors up afterwards.

Ray Gunston recently won the Harold Lee Salver at Tiverton during the Devon Veteran Golf Captain's Autumn meeting.

Phil Spencer and Mike Davis also celebrated success, securing the DMVGA Seniors Inter-County Knockout Cup by defeating Libbaton in the final.

The competition marks the end of the seniors’ golfing season.
