Boxing great Manny Pacquiao, 47, could be added to the Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua undercard - with former world champion Joe Cordina having agreed terms as his opponent.
Fury and Joshua are set to meet in an all-British heavyweight battle at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on 11 December.
Now promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that negotiations for a mouth-watering fight on the undercard are at an advanced stage.
"We've agreed terms to face Pacquiao, but we don't know if it's happening," Hearn revealed at a media event on Thursday.
"From our side, we've agreed to do it."
Tickets for Fury-Joshua sold out in just one hour, and fight fans could now also be able to see iconic eight-weight world champion Pacquiao face Wales' former super-featherweight world champion Cordina.
Pacquiao is regarded as one of the best boxers of all time, and it would be the first time the 12-time former champion has fought in the UK.
Details of other fights on the eagerly anticipated clash are yet to be released.
Pacquiao has not fought since July 2025, having returned from his second attempt at retirement.
But the Filipino icon would still be a draw for the huge television audience expected for the fight, that will be broadcast globally by streaming giants Netflix.
But the emergence of Cardiff-born Cordina, 34, as an opponent will also provide a hometown flavour to the show.
A former IBF super-featherweight champion, Cordina had been scheduled to face American Abduallah Mason for the WBO lightweight title in Cleveland in July when he was denied a US visa.
Cordina had remained in training while standing trial for allegations of assault, eventually being cleared of all charges.
That verdict has paved the way for a place on the Joshua-Fury bill, with Cordina eager to resume his career on what would be a huge opportunity in his own city.
It would be the first time Pacquiao has faced a British opponent since he beat Ricky Hatton in Las Vegas in 2009.
Pacquiao's last fight was a failed bid to take Mario Barrios' welterweight title, the bout ending in a majority draw four years after retiring to focus on politics in is homeland.
He has a record of 62 wins from 73 fights and had been scheduled to face unbeaten Floyd Mayweather in September, but the rematch of their 2015 meeting was postponed indefinitely in June.
Cordina has previously fought on the undercard of Fury's first fight with Oleksandr Usyk, losing his IBF title to Belfast's Anthony Cacace in Riyadh in May 2024.
It would represent the former Olympian's first fight in Cardiff since he regained the belt against Shavkat Rahimov the previous year.
