Christian Watson leaves Packers game early with chest injury after big catch

GREEN BAY – Green Bay Packers receiver Christian Watson was injured early in the second quarter of the Packers’ Thursday night game against the Carolina Panthers.

With 9 minutes, 11 seconds to go until halftime, Jordan Love threw a deep pass to Watson. He completed the 53-yard catch but was slow to get off the ground after Will Lee III fell on top of Watson on the tackle.

Watson eventually got up, holding his side and went inside the blue medical tent.

He later walked to the locker room.

Christian Watson is questionable to return

The Packers list Watson as questionable to return with a chest injury.

The television broadcast crew reported that he was taken to a hospital.
