The football world is bracing for the possible end of an era. Cristiano Ronaldo has announced his retirement from football. However, the Portuguese legend has revealed his plans. Away from football, Ronaldo and his wife, Georgina Rodríguez, have already built a life that spans several countries. From their current base in Riyadh to private villas on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast and a lavish estate in Portugal. The couple’s property portfolio offers a glimpse into the life they may enjoy after Cristiano's football career concludes.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have built a life that stretches far beyond the football pitch. From a private compound in Saudi Arabia to secluded island villas on the Red Sea and a sprawling estate in Portugal, the newlyweds’ property portfolio reflects a lifestyle shaped by luxury, travel and the need for privacy.
The couple, who married in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on August 11, 2026, are currently based in Riyadh. But their homes and investments span several countries, giving the family options for both everyday living and quiet escapes. Architectural Digest Middle East recently explored their expanding real estate portfolio.
For now, Riyadh is home for Ronaldo, Rodríguez and their children. The family reportedly first stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh after Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia, before relocating to a private compound. Their connection to the country may last beyond Ronaldo’s playing career. In December 2025, Red Sea Global announced that the couple had become homeowners at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.
The couple purchased two villas at Nujuma: a three-bedroom home for family stays and a two-bedroom property for shorter, more intimate getaways. The island is around 26 kilometres from the mainland and can be reached by chartered boat or seaplane. Ronaldo said he felt a connection with the island’s natural beauty and described it as a place where they “feel at peace”. He added that owning a home there would allow them to spend time with family “in complete privacy and serenity”.
Portugal is another important part of the couple’s property story. Their estate in Quinta da Marinha, near Cascais, has been reported as a possible future family home once Ronaldo retires. Architectural Digest reported that the residence is set on a large plot and includes indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, spa, screening room and landscaped gardens. However, reports about the mansion’s final value and whether the couple may sell it have varied. The couple have not publicly confirmed that the property is on the market, so those claims should be treated as reports rather than confirmed plans.
