Kevin Kisner dropped major hints about Tiger Woods(Image: Getty Images)
Kevin Kisner dropped a few hints about Tiger Woods' future after the four-time PGA Tour champion called out Rory McIlroy in India.
Kisner, who features on the Fore Play podcast and works as a broadcaster for NBC Sports, called out McIlroy just days ago for masking his New Delhi appearance fee - claiming he's more interested in growing the game of golf across the world.
Following McIlroy's comment that "two things can be true at the same time" regarding tournament appearance fees, Kisner was dropped from Woods’ Jupiter Links roster ahead of TGL Season 3
Although TGL team rosters expanded to five players, Kisner's two-year contract with Woods' Jupiter Links GC was not renewed, ending his stint with the squad.
“Tiger wants to play, and they wanted to sign Keith Mitchell, which is totally fine with me,” Kisner said on the podcast.
“Rob (McNamara], Tiger’s guy, he texted me a long text last week. Just telling me what they did on their decisions, how they were moving around and what players were going to do, and that Tiger wanted to play a full schedule.”
Woods teed off earlier this year in Jupiter Links final match of the inaugural season, but the 15-time major winner missed a short putt. Just days after making the exciting TGL showing and teasing a Masters return, the 50-year-old flipped his land rover and was arrested for a DUI.

He eventually pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of reckless driving, and then he left the country to pursue a rehabilitation stint. Woods hasn’t played a competitive round since the 2024 Open Championship, but Kisner said he could be looking at playing the Hero World Challenge and the PNC Championship.
Both tournaments are set just weeks away in December, as Woods underwent his seventh back surgery in October 2025.
“He’s going to play both,” Kisner said on the show. “He can’t have any more setbacks injury-wise. The way he was swinging and moving on the range, I mean the guy loves to compete.
“Come back, get your feet wet at the Hero, play with Charlie in the Father/Son, play some TGL, get ready for Augusta.”
Months ago, Woods was persistent in hinting that he'd show face at the 2026 Masters, but he clipped the back of a trailer near his home in Florida just days before the tournament. He flipped his car and made his first public appearance at the Travelers Championship and was recently seen hosting a clinic in California.
Kisner’s comments and Woods' hopefuls come after Kisner called out McIlroy for his continued statements in wanting to grow the game.
"That is such a dogs--- comment, but I guess for the right price, we could all say that comment," Kisner said on the Fore Play podcast days ago. "He doesn’t want to globally expand in India; he wants to get his 10 million bucks and go play in India."
