Final Players Championship Order of Merit: Wessel Nijman top seed for Minehead with Luke Humphries and Beau Greaves in top 10, Luke Littler outside top 100

The Players Championship series comprises a total of 34 tournaments, which take place over Hildesheim, Wigan, Leicester, Milton Keynes, and, for 2026, a trip to Den Bosch.

It sees the top names, including Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and Gian van Veen, in action over the course of the year, with the PDC ProTour being seen as the so-called Bread and Butter tournaments that help towards qualifying for most majors, including the PDC World Darts Championship.

But the Players Championship Order of Merit is the one to watch for this series, as it sees the top 64 players over the course of the season qualify for the Players Championship Finals, which take place in Minehead at the end of November.

It is determined based on total prize money won by each player in the Players Championship events throughout the year. The top 64 qualify, and it also spells some issues, as it did in 2025 for the likes of Luke Littler, Nathan Aspinall, and Luke Humphries, who had to qualify late. Michael van Gerwen, for instance, did not qualify at all.

The final event of the 2026 Players Championship series has been and gone with Tommy Morris ending a fantastic season as the final winner.

Morris will be at Minehead, as will the top 64 from the Order of Merit. 'Tommy Gun' was a big winner from today after also reaching a final last week in Den Bosch. He is up to 21st to end the year from 44th after winning his maiden title.

Jack Aldridge and Archie Self after another good stanza from both are up 15 and 7 spots albeit both will not be in Minehead. Neither will Ricardo Pietreczko who tried, but it was fruitless as he finished 66th up six spots today.

Cristo Reyes also broke into the top 16 going up five spots to 15th and Michael van Gerwen after another good day finished 18.

Wessel Nijman in the end finished top of the Order of Merit so he will be top seed in Minehead. He is joined by fellow shining lights in Chris Dobey, Kevin Doets, Luke Woodhouse and Jermiane Wattimena who finalise the top five.

Also in the top 10 include Luke Humphries, Beau Greaves and Ross Smith. Further down include James Wade (30th), Gerwyn Price (52nd), Gary Anderson (54th). Latter who only just qualified.

Albeit Luke Littler's gamble for his attempt to win every major failed in Amsterdam and he didn't bother with any of the remaining events so he is outside the top 120 in 130th spot. Nathan Aspinall too is in 85th and will not qualify either.

It is the final year in which the top 64 qualify with it being an extended field next year, but even in that extended field Littler wouldn't qualify.
