The Reds travel to Ewood Park on Saturday, October 24, for a Championship fixture kicking off at 3pm, with Wrexham having been allocated 2,234 tickets for the match.
Rail passengers in particular are being advised to check before travelling, with Northern warning of reduced services across parts of its network from Saturday until Monday as Storms Austen and Boelo affect the country.
Northern says there will be a reduction in the number of trains operating on several routes between Saturday and Monday, with journey planners potentially taking time to reflect short-notice changes.
Passengers are being advised to check their journeys before setting off, allow extra time and travel earlier where possible.
Detailed arrangements for Saturday's services had not yet been published, meaning supporters should check their particular train before travelling rather than assume their planned service will operate normally.
The warnings come as Storm Boelo follows Storm Austen, bringing further unsettled weather over the weekend.
There are also changes affecting Transport for Wales passengers following Storm Austen.
On the North Wales Coast, services on Friday and Saturday are being reduced to two trains per hour between Chester and Llandudno Junction and one an hour between Llandudno Junction and Holyhead.
Elsewhere, Saturday services between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury are being reduced to every two hours, while no trains will run between Llanelli and Craven Arms on the Heart of Wales line until midday on Sunday.
For supporters driving to Blackburn, no confirmed daytime closure has been identified on the usual route from Wrexham to Ewood Park in the latest information checked.
Fans travelling by car would normally use the A483 towards Chester before joining the M53, M56, M6 and M65.
There are, however, overnight works to be aware of before Saturday.
Roadworks on the M56 eastbound between junctions nine and seven are scheduled overnight into Saturday morning, affecting the hard shoulder and lanes one and two, but are due to finish by 5am.
There are also major highway improvement works around junction five of the M65 in Blackburn.
Closures affecting the junction's eastbound entry and exit slip roads are scheduled to end at around 6am to 7am on Saturday, several hours before the 3pm kick-off.
Major bridge works are also under way on the M53, but National Highways' published programme lists full carriageway closures between junctions four and five on October 21-22 and again on October 27, rather than Saturday, October 24.
Drivers should, however, be prepared for delays when leaving Ewood Park after the game.
Blackburn Rovers has advised that traffic will be heavy after the match and surrounding roads will be closed for 15 minutes after full-time.
Supporters travelling by either road or rail should allow plenty of time for their journeys, particularly with stormy conditions and the possibility of short-notice changes to rail services.
