Apple TV gives away practice and a free trial, while RTBF Auvio streams every session free with NordVPN set to Belgium.

You can watch part of the F1 US Grand Prix for free in the US and the whole weekend for free on a few public broadcasters abroad. In the US, Apple TV streams every practice session without a subscription, and its seven-day free trial covers qualifying and the race.
Belgium’s RTBF Auvio also streams every session free, and NordVPN gives you the Belgian IP address it checks for. The race starts at 1 p.m. PT on Sunday, October 25, in Austin.
Each of these free streams only works in its home country. Viewers elsewhere can still watch by connecting NordVPN to that country first.
After weeks of races in Asia, F1 is finally back on American time. Austin also keeps the classic weekend layout, with no sprint and an extra practice session on Saturday morning.
| Session | PT | ET | Austin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Practice 1 | Fri, Oct 23, 10:30 a.m. | Fri, Oct 23, 1:30 p.m. | 12:30 |
| Practice 2 | Fri, Oct 23, 2 p.m. | Fri, Oct 23, 5 p.m. | 16:00 |
| Practice 3 | Sat, Oct 24, 10:30 a.m. | Sat, Oct 24, 1:30 p.m. | 12:30 |
| Qualifying | Sat, Oct 24, 2 p.m. | Sat, Oct 24, 5 p.m. | 16:00 |
| Race | Sun, Oct 25, 1 p.m. | Sun, Oct 25, 4 p.m. | 15:00 |
Apple’s coverage is in English, and the subscription also includes F1 TV Premium, with onboard cameras and live timing. On a trip outside the US, the app shows a region error, so connect NordVPN to a US server before you press play.
RTBF Auvio is the better pick once the Apple trial runs out, and it shows every session in full without a subscription.
NordVPN costs about $3.50 a month on a two-year plan, and its 30-day money-back guarantee also covers new users who only want it for race weekend.
Kimi Antonelli arrives in Austin 102 points ahead of his Mercedes teammate George Russell. At 20, he would beat Sebastian Vettel’s record as F1’s youngest champion by more than three years. He would also be Italy’s first world champion since Alberto Ascari in 1953.
Five races remain after Sunday, so Antonelli has to leave the US GP at least 125 points clear. That only happens if:
Antonelli finished only third in Singapore two weeks ago, behind Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. All three results also have to come in the same race. For that reason, most fans expect the title fight to continue at the Mexico City Grand Prix on November 1.
No. Apple TV is the only US broadcaster this season, so no network channel airs the race. It streams in the Apple TV app, available on most TVs and streaming devices.
Partly. Apple offers every practice session and a select number of full race weekends without a subscription. The remaining qualifying sessions and races require Apple TV or its free trial.
Yes. NordVPN has servers in Belgium, and connecting to one gives a Belgian IP address. RTBF Auvio checks for exactly that before it plays its F1 streams.
No. RTBF covers F1 in French. The on-screen graphics come from the official world feed, so positions, lap times, and penalties still appear in English.
