It has been an ugly first quarter for the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football. Either team scored on the first three drives until the Eagles put up a field goal on a 40-yard drive.
On Washington’s subsequent drive, tight end Chig Okonkwo lost a fumble to give Philadelphia the ball inside of the Commanders’ 30-yard line. After a 24-yard pass from quarterback Tanner McKee to running back Saquon Barkley set them with a few yards to go, Barkley was able to run it in two plays later for the three-yard touchdown.

With the New York Giants on bye and the Dallas Cowboys losing to the Arizona Cardinals, it is important for both teams to stay competitive in the NFC East. The Giants only have four wins, and a win tonight would give the Eagles three wins this year.
