Serge Gnabry is excited to battle his former club again at the Allianz Arena.
The German attacker is back from an adductor tear that forced him to miss the World Cup in the summer, and he could get one of the four attacking slots in the absence of two of his teammates.
Vincent Kompany is also set to miss the match against Arsenal because of a viral infection that is now causing him leg pain. No matter who is present, Gnabry believes Bayern will be competitive.
"The process remains unchanged. We have a top coaching staff. Things went well in Paris last season even when the coach was suspended. The guys are all doing an excellent job.
“Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala aren't in the squad. I really don't know who will play.
“The most important thing is to play a good game as a team. Arsenal won the league title and have a strong squad. It will come down to who plays the better game and who wants it more.
"We just try to win the match. Michael is a very important player in our team who performs incredibly well. But a team is always prepared for the possibility of someone missing a game. We just have to give it our all."
It will be another reunion with the Gunners for Gnabry, who was on the books of the first team from 2012 until 2016. The manager for the opposition was once his teammate, and a man he respects.
