Back
Well that was fun. It’s been four or five weeks of unexpected chaos that’s really helped put the Football in Berkshire brand on the map with some clubs in some spaces we’ve not always been able to be on a regular basis.
I wanted to write this to thank the men and women of both Tadley Calleva and Newbury Town for bringing us in and letting us be part of their big occasions.
At Football in Berkshire, we don’t obsess over numbers, we know we’re niche, and that’s okay. So when you get the opportunity to be part of something that’s got the eyes of the county on it, in fact the nation, it’s a real privilege.
Tadley Calleva’s FA Cup run and Newbury Town’s return home have really turned the dial and helped us engage new audiences. We’ve added 500 new Instagram followers in the last month and had 3,200 visitors to the website on Tuesday alone.
We’ve met the FA Cup, watched a (unintentional – we hope) floodlight show at Faraday Road, commentated on an FA Cup game and watched arguably the most historic result in a clubs history.
We’re really excited now to get back in the groove, see where everyone stands in the leagues now the season is really settling down.
