The Tennessee Titans have been struggling, as the team is off to a weak start to the 2026 season, winning just one of their first six games. Quarterback Cam Ward and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll are the ones who are taking the brunt of the blame game, as the Titans continued to struggle offensively.

During his radio show, Stillman and Company, radio host Jared Stillman talked about the Titans’ struggles and noted that Cam Ward still needs some development, but Brian Daboll’s ways of calling games might be detrimental to that.

“You can’t see how obvious it is that one, Brian Daboll clearly thinks Cam sucks, and two, Brian Daboll is clearly doing whatever he can not to get fired,” he said. “That is exactly what is happening here. Look at the play calling, look at how he talks about him, he knows Cam sucks.”

Ward has struggled so far this season, scoring just four touchdowns while also getting intercepted four times. He has thrown for a total of 998 yards so far and has a QBR of 39.6. Even during the Titans’ first win of the season against the Indianapolis Colts, he only threw for 102 yards, scoring one touchdown but also getting intercepted once.

As for Brian Daboll, the Titans currently have one of the NFL’s least efficient offenses. However, the Titans have shown some promise, with rookie Carnell Tate showing that he could do well with Ward as quarterback, as the two connected during that win over the Colts.

Cam Ward Admits He Must Improve Amid Titans Struggling

Cam Ward is finally in the win column this season after beating the Indianapolis Colts 26-20. However, the second-year quarterback is well-aware of his performance as he spoke with reporters after the game.

“I think we all have to be better,” he said. “I have to be better. I am over-critical of myself on anything, whether it’s the run game or the pass game, throwing guys open and giving those guys chances. It is all 11 of us on offense, and I think as we keep on getting closer to where we want to be, I think as we continue to get more games and more reps with each other, and play the style of football that I know we are capable of playing, I think we’ll be able to get some big improvements throughout the year.”

The Titans will take on the Cleveland Browns in their next game on Sunday, as the team looks to improve offensively. While Ward got that connection with Tate, the win was due more to the Titans’ defense and special teams playing well than to the offense leading the charge.
