WWE Crown Jewel main event moment could set up Survivor Series: Wargames

When it comes to WWE PLEs, November is bookended by Crown Jewel and Survivor Series: WarGames for main roster shows.

With WWE Crown Jewel taking place on November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the month ends with Survivor Series: WarGames on November 28, with Roman featuring on both shows.

It’s the involvement of Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel that could have implications for what’s to come at Survivor Series: WarGames:

A new WWE Crown Jewel Champion

On November 7, the World Heavyweight Champion and Undisputed WWE Champion will go head-to-head with Roman Reigns facing either Sami Zayn or Trick Williams to determine this year’s Crown Jewel Champion.

Whether it’s Zayn or Williams will be determined on the October 30 episode of SmackDown, with the Undisputed Champion having retained over Je’Von Evans on this week’s Raw.

A bigger threat than the Undisputed WWE Champion

For Reigns, he sees whichever title he is holding as the top WWE championship, something he has made clear to Sami Zayn in recent comments.

Not seeing Zayn as on the same level as Reigns may put The OTC at a disadvantage, but not as much as the looming threat of The 946, who could make their presence felt at Crown Jewel at a pivotal moment.

Then there’s the challenge of Penta when it comes to Reigns and Zayn. The current Money in the Bank briefcase holder can cash in at any time and having both the Undisputed WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion in the ring at the same time may be the perfect moment.

There is also the possibility that LA Knight could factor into proceedings, with his history with Roman Reigns being revisited as the weight of opposition seeks to crush The OTC.

Sami Zayn victorious and Survivor Series: WarGames gets its main event

With multiple stars targeting Reigns, it’s likely Zayn will be the one to become Crown Jewel Champion, further reinforcing his conviction that he is the better champion than his rival.

Zayn kicked off his first reign as Undisputed WWE Champion at Night of Champions back in June of this year, recapturing the title on September 11 with a victory over CM Punk on SmackDown in Mexico City. There would be symmetry to seeing the star capture another title in Saudi Arabia.

As for Reigns, the target of The 946 and potentially LA Knight, there’s unfinished business between the latter and Solo Sikoa, who has reunited with The Bloodline. With Survivor Series: WarGames as the next stop on the PLE calendar, aligning Knight with The 946, with his focus on Reigns and Sikoa, makes total sense as both factions go at it in the steel structure.

The wolves close in on Roman Reigns

The World Heavyweight Champion he may be, and will continue to be coming out of Crown Jewel, but the odds are not in Reigns’ favor when it comes to keeping the title.

If the WarGames match leads to a victory for The 946, Reigns is likely to see The Bloodline as the reason behind the loss, further isolating the star as he accuses his own family of betrayal, and none of them are likely to take kindly to such blame.

Whether this becomes the moment when the wolves circle, there’s a likelihood that fans could see Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Royce Keys, LA Knight, Penta, and others all ready to feast on what remains of the wounded and isolated World Heavyweight Champion.
