The young defender joined on loan from Championship outfit Stoke City until January.

And he was thrown straight into the action starting against Eastleigh in 1-1 draw at Holker Street at the weekend.

During an interview with the club’s official website the 6ft 3in centre-back was asked what kind of player Barrow supporters can expect to see.

He said: “I think I’m quite an aggressive player. I think I’m comfortable on the ball, aggressive in the air, aggressive with my defending, aggressive in my one-to-one duels.

“I think they (the fans) are looking to see a dominant player at the back.”

Otegbayo has already made three Championship starts last season and believes his spell with The Bluebirds can help him to gain more experience in senior football.

On the aim of his loan, he added: “I think it’s probably to just get more games under my belt to be fair, especially in the men’s league.

“It’s a different challenge to what is playing in maybe the academy set up.”
