Wales to host 2027 International Six Days’ Enduro event

The six-day competition will take place from Monday, September 13 to Saturday, September 18, 2027, with the Royal Welsh Showground serving as its base.

Around 500 competitors from more than 30 countries are expected to take part, alongside team crews, media and spectators from around the world.

The event, often described as the ‘Olympics of Motorcycling’, sees riders representing their countries in a competition testing speed, endurance and mechanical skill.

The 2027 staging will mark a return to Wales more than four decades after the country last hosted the competition in 1983.

Over the six days, competitors will tackle hundreds of miles of varied terrain, combining technical special tests with long-distance riding and strict time controls.

Riders must also maintain and repair their own motorcycles within controlled time limits.

Organisers say plans for the event include an event village, spectator opportunities, family activities, local food and drink and entertainment.

The competition is also expected to provide a showcase for the area to visitors from across Europe and further afield, while supporting accommodation businesses, hospitality and the wider tourism economy.

The Auto-Cycle Union will support the event alongside local motorcycle clubs, volunteers, partners and stakeholders.

Among the Welsh clubs expected to play a role are Hafren Dirt Bike Club, Dyfed Dirt Bike Club, CWAC Knighton, Builth Wells, WTRA, Saintswell and Rhayader.

The announcement launches the countdown to six days of international competition centred on Builth Wells in September 2027.
