Erling Haaland lambasted Gianluigi Donnarumma during Manchester City's 2-1 loss to Aston Villa. The defeat at Villa Park ended City's perfect start to the top-flight campaign.
Enzo Maresca's side travelled to face Villa looking to make it eight wins from eight in the league but found themselves 1-0 down inside six minutes. Nicolas Jackson capitalised on a Marc Guehi error and thundered home.
The visitors battled back and after some valiant Villa defending, City were level. None other than Haaland headed in an Iliman Ndiaye cross in the 52nd minute. But the striker's joy was short-lived.
On the hour mark, Jackson popped up once more and unleashed a strike straight at City shot-stopper Donnarumma. But the Italian let the shot slip under him and into the back of the net for 2-1. The scoreline stayed this way for all of City's efforts in the final stages.
Haaland was visibly frustrated at full-time but footage from the first half shows that his grievances had started long before City's fate was sealed. In the 33rd minute, an interaction with the eventually culpable Donnarumma was rather unsavoury.

City conceded a free-kick shortly after the half-hour mark as Guehi brought down Jackson on the break. The Villa players started to line up the set piece, just outside the penalty area.
But Donnarumma briefly stepped off his line as the free-kick was being prepared and approached the official in protest of it being given. Other City players had been speaking to the referee about the decision.
Haaland did not take kindly to the Italian leaving his net and could soon be seen gesturing at the 27-year-old, appearing to tell him to get back.
Donnarumma didn't have to make a save from the eventual free-kick as Johan Manzambi put the effort over. But in the second half, Jackson's powerful strike did slip under him in a costly error.

Speaking after the match, manager Maresca told TNT Sports that both goals City conceded could have been avoided. He said: "Absolutely, both.
"Sometimes you have to be a bit more lucky because we only conceded those two chances, but we created a lot of chances. We played most of the game in their box.
"But you have to be clinical and avoid mistakes like the two goals we conceded. The overall performance was good. Second half, we conceded in transition.
"We needed to defend that a little better and be a little bit luckier in that transition but that is football," he added. "We will learn from that."
