Manchester United’s Premier League and Champions League campaigns have now been predicted after the Red Devils have stuck with Michael Carrick as their manager.
Michael Carrick was tipped to face the chopping block at the Premier League club after Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
There was zero noise from United on Monday over the future of Carrick, despite mounting speculation that the 45-year-old could be sacked by the club.
However, it emerged on Tuesday that Man Utd will continue with Carrick and the Red Devils legend has the chance to turn the Premier League club’s season around.
Who should Carrick build his team around? Who can he trust?
He needs to go back to what worked last season the pressing game with Bruno back in the number 10 role not out wide playing a possession game obviously doesn't work the players need to watch the U18's who playing the pressing game every time get great results
Amass, de Ligt (if fit to start) Lacy, Mainoo (if fit to start) Bruno, Baleba (just in case one of the other two can't start/play) get a young lad on the bench called Camacho give him some first team experience i think he is 16 so he's ok to play even for the last 5 minutes.

The Red Devils are currently 16th in the Premier League table after Manchester United’s setback against Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Red Devils have won only once in the Premier League season so far, which came in August after United’s 5-2 comeback victory over Ipswich Town at home.
United are currently one point above the Premier League relegation zone ahead of Michael Carrick leading his side to Stamford Bridge for Saturday’s clash against Chelsea. Opta Analyst has now crunched the data and provided the latest ‘expected’ and ‘predicted’ outcomes for the Red Devils in the Premier League and the Champions League under United manager Carrick.
When it comes to the ‘expected’ aspect in the Premier League, Opta Analyst has suggested that United should currently be 11th in the table rather than 16th based on their current performances. However, United are now predicted to finish 13th in the Premier League table by the end of the 2026-27 campaign if the Red Devils maintain their current run of form under Carrick.
United legend Carrick has seen the Red Devils pick up one win and suffer two defeats in their opening three Champions League matches of the season. While United currently languish in joint-20th place in the league phase table alongside Inter Milan, Opta Analyst has revealed that United’s ‘expected’ performance in the Champions League should see them in 16th place instead.
The current prediction for the Red Devils’ Champions League campaign would see them finish in 21st place after their eight matches in the 2026-27 season. United won their opening Champions League match against Sabah in a crushing 4-0 win at Old Trafford last month.
However, Carrick’s men have since suffered setbacks in the Champions League after United’s 2-0 away defeat to Atletico Madrid and 4-1 away loss to Como this month. United will face Chelsea in their final match in October before kicking off November with their return to Champions League action against Roma at Old Trafford.
