Wrestling fans know Excalibur as a wealth of knowledge and human dictionary when it comes to the names of wrestling moves. Long before AEW existed, Excalibur was the voice of PWG. He was also an in-ring competitor from 2000 to 2007. In his time, he has been the voice associated with a variety of matches that's only grown in AEW. His trademark "Un-BEE-LEEV-able" can be heard during "Dynamite" and sprinkled throughout pay-per-views.
During an interview with the Ballast Point Brewing Company, Excalibur reflected on Kenny Omega versus Will Ospreay at All In. He pointed out that the broadcast team was quiet for the first 10 minutes because of Ospreay's video package and walk to the ring.
"Then he comes out to Wembley Stadium to 50,000 of his countrymen who are just screaming their heads off. They are cheering. They are singing along with his song. The fireworks are going off. What could we say as broadcasters that carried more weight than what was happening in that stadium at that moment?"
Excalibur explained that once the match started, the broadcast team began the storytelling by telling the stats and explaining their rivalry.
"But now it's a battle for the best and who is the top dog. And it was the best professional wrestling match that I have ever called as a broadcaster and maybe the best professional wrestling match that I've ever seen," Excalibur declared.
