AEW's Orange Cassidy Explains How Tony Khan Has Helped The Pro Wrestling Industry
AEW

Tony Khan's arrival in the pro wrestling world shook up the industry for the better, with AEW's Orange Cassidy echoing that sentiment and explaining why he believes it to be the case.

Wrestlers who have worked under Khan have spoken glowingly about him, with them praising him as a true fan of pro wrestling that has the wrestlers' best interests at heart. Cassidy, whose star has risen during his time in AEW,  said that he's lucky to work under someone like Khan.

"I feel like professional wrestling and everybody overall involved in it, working in it, and all the fans have benefited greatly that this guy is such a huge wrestling fan and took this risk, I would say, maybe like opportunity, whatever it is," he said in an interview with "STL Sports Central." "But Tony made this place that allows for professional wrestling. And that's all because, to me, professional wrestling is so many different things. It's not just, you know, what you've been seeing on TV for the past, you know, whatever, in America. He's opened the door to wrestling from around the world for an audience that typically wouldn't have seen it. And having a fan first and foremost as a boss is the best because the wrestling is always put first. It's always number one. And luckily I can wrestle, and he likes it when I wrestle, so I'm very, very lucky."

Cassidy stated that Khan's wrestling mind works at a "different level," adding that the AEW CEO is a very smart man. The two-time AEW International Champion has been effusive of his praise of Khan in the past too, praising him for allowing all kinds of wrestling in AEW.

Despite the positive, friendly, smiling face that Khan often shows in public, he does have an angry side, as Brian Cage recently revealed, while also describing Khan as a supremely positive individual.
