Arsenal get ‘serious’ with Tresoldi

Arsenal hold a ‘serious’ interest in Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi as Mikel Arteta seeks to give himself more attacking options in 2027, Sky Sports reports.

With nine goals in 12 games this season – including four in three Champions League outings – the striker is regarded as one of the brightest young goal poachers in European football, but a lack of experience in Europe’s big five leagues means signing him would constitute a risk.

Arsenal target ‘generational talent’ Prescott

Arsenal are tracking Bayern Munich wonderkid Leonard Prescott, according to TeamTalk, which indicates that the Gunners are seeking to take advantage of the growing uncertainty over what the future holds for a shot-stopper who has already been branded a ‘generational talent’.

The American-born keeper represents Germany at international level and has a contract that expires at the end of the season, making him vulnerable to leaving the Allianz Arena.

Questions over his pathway to play first-team football are a key issue for the 17-year-old, who has also been tracked by Chelsea, Tottenham and Juventus.

Chelsea, Real Madrid still want Calafiori as Arsenal demand huge fee

Chelsea continue to follow Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, having failed in a previous bid to land the Italy international, according to Si Phillips.

The Blues are still seeking to sign two centre-backs, and they see the 24-year-old as an ideal candidate for Xabi Alonso’s side.

Any deal is likely to be pushed until next summer, with a central midfielder seen as a more urgent January arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have put a €100m price tag on the player, which would represent a record for a defender, CaughtOffside reports while also noting ongoing interest from Real Madrid.

Bruno Guimaraes reveals why he joined Arsenal

Bruno has broken his silence about the real reason he left Newcastle to join Arsenal in the summer, claiming that he ‘needed a new challenge’.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “To be fair, it was very tough for me to make this decision because I really enjoyed my time at the club, the affection I had for the fans. I lost many, many nights of sleep because it was difficult for me, for my family.

“But sometimes in your life you have to make decisions and, for me, I was at the club for nearly five years and in my mind I needed a new challenge.

“I love to face a new challenge and for me to come here, to get a new challenge in my life, was something that I wanted. Sometimes in life you have to make decisions - and that was my decision.”
