Arsenal accelerate for Kroupi

Arsenal are poised to step up their pursuit of Bournemouth forward Eli Kroupi, Football Insider claims.

The French attacker recently returned from a lengthy injury lay-off and already finds himself surrounded by transfer speculation after bagging 13 goals last season. His injury and Bournemouth's reluctance to sell made a summer deal impossible.

However, it could be a different story in 2027. Arsenal have returned for him and could look to "accelerate" their pursuit as early as January in order to steal a march on PSG, who are set to offer stiff competition for Kroupi's signature.

Mourinho dreams of Calafiori

Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori is a "dream" target for Real Madrid, as per TEAMtalk.

The Italy international was already being linked with Los Blancos in the summer, but a deal was impossible. Real Madrid signed Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konate instead. However, their interest remains.

The Spanish giants will sign at least one new defender in 2027 and have earmarked the 24-year-old as a top target due to his versatility. Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer, but Arsenal could foil the Portuguese's plan by handing Calafiori a new contract.

Chelsea enter Varela race

The same outlet also writes that Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race for Monza striker Gustavo Varela.

The 21-year-old is in the midst of a red-hot start to the season, having bagged 11 goals in 10 appearances. Varela has been linked with Arsenal for a few weeks, but they are far from the only side attentive to his exploits in Italy.

Chelsea and numerous other clubs have been scouting Varela, who joined Monza from Benfica for just €2.5 million in the summer. Like Arsenal, the Blues could be in the market for a centre-forward in 2027 due to a lack of high-quality backup options.

Zubimendi pushed to Chelsea?

The Spain international has been an unused substitute in three of Arsenal's last four Premier League games after being yet again overlooked by Mikel Arteta against Liverpool on Sunday.

Speculation over Zubimendi's future has been rampant in light of his lack of minutes, with Chelsea among the clubs said to hold an interest. Blues boss Xabi Alonso worked with him at Real Sociedad and previously tried to sign him for both Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid.

Endrick to Arsenal?

Endrick finds himself in a similar situation at Real Madrid, but this time Arsenal could benefit.

The 20-year-old has been linked with the Gunners, among other clubs, due to his lack of minutes this season. A January transfer looks increasingly likely as there are no signs that his playing time will markedly increase in the coming weeks.

At the weekend, Endrick was only given five minutes of action against Racing Santander despite the fact that Real Madrid were 3-0 at half-time and could have used it as an opportunity to rest key players for Wednesday's Champions League clash with AEK in Athens.
