There has been a lot of intrigue around the future of RUSH in All Elite Wrestling.

“El Toro Blanco” has been absent from the company over the past few months, missing out on a number of major events this year.

However, it was recently revealed that RUSH’s visa has expired and led to his recent hiatus from the promotion, so it opens the door for his return when that situation is rectified.

Here are five potential RUSH AEW return opponents.

Bandido

During his time in Ring of Honor, RUSH feuded with a number of current AEW stars.

Among those he faced during this time as well as his stint in CMLL is Bandido.

The two luchadors have battled for championship gold on several occasions and have an established rivalry with one another.

Despite their battles outside of the promotion, RUSH and Bandido have never clashed inside an AEW ring, making for an ideal comeback match for “El Toro Blanco.”

Speedball Mike Bailey

Speedball Mike Bailey is one of the most underrated stars on the AEW roster today.

Since signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2025, Bailey has earned her spot in the company time and time again.

While they have faced in multi-man matches, Speedball and RUSH have never gone one-on-one with each other.

RUSH facing off with Speedball would be an ideal test for him when he makes his return to AEW sometime soon.

Konosuke Takeshita

Another AEW star who has to be in the conversation for one of the best in-ring competitors is Konosuke Takeshita.

During his four-year run with the company, Takeshita is a former two-time AEW International Champion and has had a litany of amazing matches.

Thanks to his hard hitting style in the ring, “The Alpha” feels like someone who would feel right at home with the physicality that “El Toro Blanco” has to offer.

RUSH colliding with Takeshita would give fans an intense encounter that could steal the show on any event it takes place.

Jon Moxley

Speaking of intensity, there might not be another performer who is known for that trait more than Jon Moxley.

The Death Riders leader has been apart of some of the most physical and bloody wars in AEW history.

As the AEW Continental Champion, Moxley has stepped in the ring with anyone and everyone he can.

If RUSH is returning, he would be hard-pressed to find anyone ready for the explosive violence he has to offer quite like Jon Moxley.

Ilja Dragunov

At AEW WrestleDream 2026, Ilja Dragunov made his debut with the company.

“The Mad Dragon” has become known as the most passionate and intense in-ring performers in wrestling today.

Since his arrival, fans have been talking about the different performers he could collide with and RUSH has become a popular name mentioned.

Now that he has debuted, Dragunov clashing with RUSH has the potential to be one of the most heated battles fans have seen in an AEW ring in a long time.
