At 19 years and 103 days old, Memphis Grizzlies rookie Cameron Boozer became the second-youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double Thursday night.

The third pick in the 2026 NBA Draft — and currently the youngest player in the league — finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in a 124-103 road win against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The only player younger than Boozer to get a triple-double was Josh Giddey, who was 19 years and 84 days old on Jan. 2, 2022, when he produced 17 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists in an Oklahoma City Thunder loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Boozer is the youngest player to record a triple-double in a win, one that helped the Grizzlies get to their second 5-0 start in franchise history (2014-15).

The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Boozer is also the youngest frontcourt player to record a triple-double. The previous record holder was San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama, who was 20 years and 6 days old on Jan. 10, 2024, when he had 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a road win against the Detroit Pistons.

Boozer’s triple-double came in his fifth NBA game. The only other players to accomplish the feat in five or fewer games have been Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson in 1960 with the Cincinnati Royals, former NBA champion Art Williams in 1967 with the San Diego Rockets and one-time All-NBA selection Ben Simmons in 2017 with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Thursday’s matchup featured two of the last three undefeated teams in the NBA. The Houston Rockets are the league’s only other remaining unbeaten.

Boozer and the Grizzlies return to action Saturday night, when they host the 0-5 Sacramento Kings.
