Arman Tsarukyan’s latest Real American Freestyle appearance was not drama-free.
The surging wrestling organization does not seem opposed to violent clashes outside of the events, judging by their habit of matching up Dillon Danis against some boisterous UFC stars.
After a post-match brawl when Khamzat Chimaev beat Danis this past June, the controversial former Bellator fighter was involved in another this week.
Having seen Danis and Tsarukyan recently go at it on stage, the legendary Chuck Liddell is demanding change from the RAF higher-ups.
Between punching a fan at UFC 300, his Dan Hooker headbutt and the RAF brawl, is Arman Tsarukyan too much of a loose canon for the UFC title?
As expected, Tsarukyan beat Danis with ease at RAF 14 on Friday night in Las Vegas.
It was somewhat of a surprise not to see shenanigans break out after the match, aside from the UFC lightweight star briefly stepping on his rival.
The pair evidently got out their aggression at the press conference earlier in the week, which ended prematurely when Tsarukyan sparked a brawl with Danis after taking issue with his t-shirt targeting Chimaev.
It is not the first time Tsarukyan has been involved in controversy, nor is it his first brawl under the RAF banner.
Reacting to the latest incident, Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell suggested he should be disciplined.
“There needs to be some kind of punishment, someone’s gotta be punished for it,” Liddell said during a recent interview with TMZ Sports.
“Or they (RAF) have to have better control. Better security, whatever, however they get it under control.
“It’s not cool. It seems like that’s just an okay thing now. It’s not okay,” he continued. “It spills over to the fans and people who are innocent bystanders, people getting hurt who are nothing to do with it.
“Guys, control your egos, control yourself. A real man can control his anger.”
Earlier this year, Tsarukyan brawled with Georgio Poullas after their match at RAF 6. The incident was sparked by the UFC fighter attacking his opponent after beating him.
The Armenian has had similar incidents in the UFC, including punching a fan during his UFC 300 walkout and headbutting Dan Hooker during the UFC Qatar ceremonial weigh-ins.
