Wirral Council closed all grass pitches on Thursday for the weekend due to impending storms, which duly hit the area for four days.

However, one fixture did take place in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division, thanks to FC Parkview and Cheshire Vikings hiring a 3G pitch at Bidston.

Even so, the high-wind weather still had an effect on the game as the Vikings sailed to a 7-0 victory. On target for Vikings were Ben Ryan with a hat-trick, plus both Toby Lewis and Jamie Woods bagging a brace apiece.

Only one other wind-hampered game took place and that was on the Pensby High School 3G pitch and resulted in a 2-1 success for PLCC FC in the Magee Cup 1st round. Jordan Chwalko and Nathan Jones found the net for PLCC, with Adam Walker replying for Finnigans in a very even encounter.
