After nearly a whole year out of the ring, Jake Paul looks to have an opponent for his 15th professional fight lined up.

His boxing career so far has been under a lot of scrutiny as, during his time in the sport, he has only fought seven recognised boxers. Of these, only four were well-known, with most being well past their primes.

This doesn't look likely to change when 'The Problem Child' returns to the ring.

Jake Paul's Boxing Career Explored

Jake Paul

Paul was last in action in December 2025, when he took on one of the few opponents he has faced who were capable of presenting him with a real challenge, in the form of a two-time unified WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.

Jake managed to survive until the sixth round before a right hand from Joshua to the jaw put him down for the count. Following the fight, Paul was diagnosed with a double jaw fracture, which has kept him out of the ring ever since.

Before he fought Joshua, the only notable names on Paul's CV from the boxing world were Tommy Fury, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Mike Tyson.

Out of those three, it was only Fury who seemed to actually want to go for the win, whereas Chavez Jr and Tyson showed limited ambition.

Paul's recent run of opponents may have given fans hope that he was now going to consistently fight some top active names. However, his planned comeback opponent has just a handful of fights in boxing.

The name in question has a better chance of being chosen than some of the others Paul has hinted at, as he has not been scared to call for a fight with "The Problem Child" himself.

Jake Paul's Next Opponent 'Leaked'

That man is former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till, who has made a name for himself in crossover boxing since leaving MMA. Per BoxRec, he has just five professional boxing bouts to his name.

Paul's business partner, Nakisa Bidarian, confirmed that Till was the fight that the social media sensation wants next.

Bidarian told The Sun: "Till is definitely one of the names that Jake put out there on his list.

With Till previously saying he is actively waiting to receive a fight contract, Bidarian continued by saying the date could happen before the end of 2026, with Christmas Eve touted as a possible landing spot.

Speaking about the date, Nakisa reasoned:

"It's a date [Christmas Eve] where everyone is at home. It's a great window. It's a captive audience with not much else going on."

"The date, time and location depends on how quickly I can get the opponent done and the distribution of the fight appropriately figured out based on that opponent. We’re trying our best to get it done."
