The Hornets’ game against Wolves comes just four months after Jackett’s tragic passing, on June 11.
Wolves have confirmed that, as well as dedicating the matchday programme to Jackett, members of his family and close friends will be in attendance for the game at Molineux.
Jackett needs no introduction to either fanbase. As a player, he came through Watford’s academy and spent his entire career with the Hornets, making 428 appearances before his untimely retirement, due to an accumulation of knee surgeries, aged 28.
He also earned 31 caps for Wales, the birthplace of his father, Frank, throughout his career.
Having remained with Watford in a variety of roles following his retirement, Jackett was appointed as the Hornets’ manager ahead of the 1996/97 season.
He was replaced as manager at the end of the season, but remained in the club’s coaching staff, which helped lead Watford to successive promotions back to the top flight during Graham Taylor’s third tenure with the club.
Jackett left Watford in 2001, and later managed Saturday’s opponents, Wolves, from 2013 until 2016, leading them to the 2013/14 League One title, setting a points record, at the time, of 103.
