Lille OSC are interested in Union Saint-Gilloise forward Relebohile Mofokeng (22), according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri. Les Dogues may, however, face competition for the South Africa international’s signature, should they pursue a move.
Mokofeng only joined USG from South African side Orlando Pirates in the summer, following South Africa’s FIFA World Cup campaign. He has quickly made a mark, scoring five goals and registering four assists in 15 games in all competitions. His stay in the Belgian capital could ultimately be a swift one.
In search of attacking reinforcements as early as January, Lille have identified the forward, capable of playing as a No.10 or on the wing, as a potential target. He is a name on their shortlist. However, they could face considerable competition in the form of German giants Bayer Leverkusen. Tavolieri understands that the Bundesliga club have already enquired about Mofokeng’s availability.
