An amber weather warning is in place across much of Scotland, with waterlogged pitches forcing one SPFL game and three Scottish Cup ties to be called off.
Here are all of the matches postponed today.
Morton’s Scottish Championship clash with Ayr United at Cappielow has been called off.
The decision was made following a pitch inspection, with the playing surface deemed waterlogged.
Morton said: “Following a pitch inspection by the match referee on arrival, today’s match at Cappielow has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.”
Penicuik Athletic’s Scottish Cup second-round tie against Clyde was also postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Montgomery Park.
The fixture has been rearranged for Tuesday, October 27, with a 7.30pm kick-off.
Threave Rovers’ Scottish Cup meeting with Pollok will not go ahead after the match failed a 1.30pm pitch inspection.
Johnstone Burgh’s Scottish Cup clash with Formartine United has also been called off.
A 1.30pm pitch inspection resulted in the fixture being postponed.
That leaves four Scottish football matches postponed on Saturday, with Morton versus Ayr United the only SPFL fixture to fall victim to the conditions and three Scottish Cup ties also off.
Elsewhere, Brechin City’s meeting with Strathspey Thistle was given the go-ahead following a 9am inspection, while Hill of Beath’s clash with Musselburgh Athletic also passed an inspection.
The weekend weather could still cause travel disruption, but Saturday’s pitch inspections have now determined which matches will and will not take place.
