Wolverhampton Wanderers‘ Hwang Hee-chan has opened up about his incident with Schalke physio Dr. Lukas Ackermann and the fourth official during the DFB-Pokal defeat to Dynamo Dresden on October 28th.
César Peixoto left the striker out of his core plans at the Championship side this season. He didn’t include him in the squad for the first five matches in August.
On deadline day, Wolves allowed the 30-year-old to join the German club on loan with an option to buy.
Hwang Hee-chan got himself in trouble while getting treatment on the sidelines during the cup defeat to Dynamo Dresden. He shoved the medical staff and the fourth official.
At the weekend, Schalke manager Miron Muslić confirmed the Wolves owned player won’t face any consequences for his actions.
He said: “We discussed this in front of the entire squad because discipline is something we value very highly and also demand.”
“In the last 16 months, we haven’t had any issues with a lack of discipline, either on or off the pitch. We tried to explain this to him. He understood and showed a great deal of insight. There will be no consequences regarding his place in the squad.”

Tuesday’s edition of WAZ have an interview with the South Korea international, where he talks about the shoving incident.
“The coach addressed the situation in front of all the players and the coaching staff. It’s settled now,” he said.
“He (fourth official Tom Bauer) came towards me very aggressively, then got too close. That’s the only reason I pushed him away, because he was getting too close, I wasn’t aggressive, I didn’t really push or hit him. It was similar with the physio (Dr Lukas Ackermann).”
The attacker’s move to the Bundesliga side hasn’t gone well as he’s yet to score after seven matches and only contributed an assist. That was on his debut as Schalke secured a 3-1 win over Union Berlin.
On Schalke’s recent goal drought, Hwang Hee-chan explained: “As a striker, I have a responsibility. I’m working hard, my teammates and my fellow players are too, so I think the goals will come, I’ll just keep working hard.”
“We need to improve in every area. The results will come.”
“We have a lot of quality in the team and the fans are behind us, that’s very helpful. We just need to finally show that quality on the pitch.”
Schalke have secured a purchase option, and it’s too early to even suggest whether they plan to buy him from Wolves. The Korean needs to deliver quickly, first by breaking his own goal drought, to maintain hope of securing a permanent move.
