Springboks boss Rassie Erasmus has sparked another disciplinary row after Ireland prop Tadhg Furlong escaped a ban.
The double World Cup-winning coach posted several angry messages after Furlong was cleared of foul play following an incident involving Munster's Gavin Coombes.
The decision has angered South African supporters, who believe a Springboks player received harsher treatment for a similar incident.
Taking to X, Erasmus wrote:
"Back to Boardrooms again. Its so sick! Tsek, Loop Kak!"
He followed that with another pointed message.
"The saddest is everyone know this was going to happen."
In an accompanying video, Erasmus added:
"The biggest thing is you must look at people you never ever want to be like."
He continued: "They're not good people. I don't think they sleep well."
Although Erasmus never named Furlong, the timing raised eyebrows.
The controversy centres on Springboks hooker Jan-Hendrik Wessels.
He received a nine-week suspension in October 2025 following an incident involving Connacht's Josh Murphy. His banwas later reduced to eight weeks.
However, Furlong was cleared following an allegation under the same law.
The independent panel unanimously dismissed the complaint, concluding that the Ireland international had not committed foul play.
Different evidence can explain different outcomes, although the contrasting decisions have fuelled accusations of double standards.
Munster have backed Coombes following the verdict.
Interim chief executive Avan Lee said:
"The priority this week was to back Gavin and for the club to stand behind him, and that position has not changed."
The controversy adds extra spice ahead of Ireland's Nations Championship clash with South Africa on November 21.
And with Erasmus already making headlines, the Dublin showdown cannot come soon enough.
With the Autumn Internationals approaching, it's time to play Rassie Erasmus.
