Sooners still list three players questionable on Friday injury report

The Friday night SEC student-athlete availability report has been released for Saturday afternoon's game between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and there are three players for OU who still have questionable designations heading into game day.

Offensive linemen Michael Fasusi and Heath Ozaeta and defensive back Eli Bowen were all listed as questionable on Friday night. Getting Fasusi and Ozaeta back would be a big boost for the o-line, while a return for Bowen would put the secondary back nearer to full strength than its been in weeks. That trio will be the players to watch on the final injury report on Saturday.

The good news for the Sooners is that running back Tory Blaylock and wide receiver Parker Livingstone are off the injury report and therefore available to play in Starkville this week. Blaylock's return gives the Sooners a three-man rotation in the backfield again, while Livingstone's return gives them another option in the passing game.

However, the Sooners also downgraded wide receiver Elijah Thomas to doubtful on Friday, meaning he likely won't face the Bulldogs. Running back Xavier Robinson will be out once again, as he was downgraded from doubtful to out. Along with Robinson, the Sooners will also not have wide receiver Trell Harris, tight end Trynae Washington, offensive linemen Eddy Pierre-Louis and Ryan Fodje, linebacker Taylor Heim, and defensive back Jacobe Johnson on Saturday.

For Mississippi State, they got good news with the return of star running back Fluff Bothwell, who is off the injury report and is expected to play. According to multiple reports, star quarterback Kamario Taylor is also going to play this week, despite still being listed as questionable on Friday night's report. That means the Bulldogs will be getting their two best players back on the offensive side of the ball for Saturday's game. However, MSU will not have safety Issac Smith, which will be a big blow to their defense this week.

Here's a look at Friday night's full injury report.
