Budleigh came from behind with two second-half goals to reach the third round of the Devon Premier Cup.

In a competitive game, it was the visitors who had the edge in the first half.

They went in front when a bouncing ball got the Robins defence in a tangle, and Bailey Williams went on to score.

There were chances for both sides in the early part of the second period.

Rohullah Mohamaddi and Evan Slater both went close for Budleigh.

Persistence finally paid off during a spell of heavy Budleigh pressure in the last twenty minutes of the game.

First Simon Withers picked out Nathan Hawkins, who drilled the ball home.

Then skipper Jacob Tinsley curled the winner into the top corner.

The Budleigh Man of the Match was Simon Withers.

This Saturday (November 7), Budleigh return to league action when they travel to Fremington FC.

Kick off is at 2.15pm.
