Mikel Arteta has confirmed Bukayo Saka is due to see further specialists with it unclear at this stage how long the Arsenal star will be out for.
The Gunners winger picked up a thigh injury just 10 minutes into the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night. Saka was helped off the pitch by medical staff and now faces a period on the sidelines.
Speaking on Friday in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's clash against Everton, Arteta said: "He's going for an MRI this afternoon because he had a lot of fluid in the area so it was difficult to understand the severity of the injury. We will know tomorrow.
"We need a few more scans and opinions from the specialists, when a player is struggling to walk off the pitch and he's restricted in his movement, they are not good signs."
Asked if it's a positive he's driving into training, Arteta said: "I'm happy he can drive!" On Saka's latest injury, Arteta added: "It's been different in the last year or so, obviously the demands for ever player are immense, the intensity of those matches, the time between games is getting narrower, we played Sunday, then Wednesday and now Saturday, every hour is important.
"If they [authorities] can support the amount we are putting into these players, it would be really appreciated. We have to play three times in less than six games, the games are so demanding, we are chasing until the last minute."

Elsewhere, defender Piero Hincapie was pictured in training on Friday morning and could return to the matchday squad on Saturday, which would be a big boost for the Gunners. Arteta confirmed on Friday that the defender is available for the clash against the Toffees.
The Everton game comes too soon for Christos Tzolis, though, as the winger is still recovering from the injury sustained on international duty with Greece. William Saliba is continuing his recovery from a back injury, aiming to return sometime next month.
