Tony Vance says he is adopting a more aggressive style of play now that Guernsey FC have seen many of their injured players return.
The Green Lions were without the likes of Sam Murray, Ross Allen, Fin Du Port and Charlton Gauvain earlier this season, but all apart from Gauvain are now back.
It has led to an upturn in fortunes, with Guernsey winning their last four matches and moving up to seventh place in the Southern Combination Premier Division.
"We started off the season with a plan and it was working until we got players injured," the Guernsey FC manager told BBC Radio Guernsey.
"Now it's given me a time to reflect and look at it and think now we've got our resources back, we're playing a little bit of catch up so maybe we can go a little bit more aggressive than we were planning on doing.
"Obviously you've got to take each game as it comes and see how you go, but ultimately from our point of view, we're attacking games now and we've got to try and get as many points as we can."
Guernsey are seventh having won seven of their 12 matches but they are 12 points off league leaders Haywards Heath Town, although have two games in hand.
The islanders missed out on promotion back to the Isthmian League last season when they were beaten by Peacehaven and Telscombe in the play-off final in May.
Vance feels that the play-offs will again be his side's best hope of returning to the eighth tier having been relegated in April 2025.
"We're never going to have enough to win the league," Vance added.
"Haywards Heath and all these other teams have got far more resources than us, they don't have to travel, so it's going to take something really special to win the league.
"We're always going to have those challenges, so probably the play-offs is the most realistic thing.
"Obviously, if we manage to really have a massive spout and huge form and the others drop, then of course we'd keep going, but I just don't think we've quite got enough really given the logistical problems to go and win the league, so maybe it's the play-offs."
