The home turf battle in Inglewood will take on a different tone in Week 8: desperation. Both the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams enter the game falling short of expectations, and really needing a win.

At 0-6, the Chargers are the only team left in the NFL without a win, after the tanking Miami Dolphins picked up their first win last week. Last weekend's bye denied the Chargers a chance to change their fortunes, but the struggling Rams could give them a shot to turn things around.

The Rams, meanwhile, are hoping to pull back to .500 by building on last week's dominant win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Rams' superteam roster has fallen short so far, going 3-4 while dealing with three one-score losses and injuries to star players like Myles Garrett.

Still, the Rams will hope to hold off the desperate Chargers for a much-needed win of their own.
