Charles Leclerc will not take part in media commitments ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix after celebrating the birth of his first child.
The Monegasque driver announced on Instagram that his wife Alexandra gave birth to their daughter Bianca on Tuesday.
Although Leclerc was originally set to take questions from reporters on Thursday, he has been granted extra time to remain at home with his family in Monaco.
The 29-year-old’s absence means he will not immediately address criticism from team-mate Lewis Hamilton following their clash at the Mexico Grand Prix last weekend.
Hamilton accused Leclerc of working against him when attempting an opening-lap overtake on the British driver while the pair were in front, enabling Max Verstappen to take the victory.
"We have to have some serious talks behind the scenes for sure," said Hamilton.
"We don’t have rules of engagement and, whether or not that will change anything from Charles’ side, I don’t know. Something needs to change for sure.
"I think it’s a mentality thing. It’s like, ‘Do or die. Either I win or none of us do’, and it shouldn’t be that."
The situation caused frustration for Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur, who remarked to Sky Sports: "I think it’s just a matter of respect. Honestly, it’s difficult to digest for me to give up a win like this."
Despite the in-fighting and confusion over priorities, Ferrari still have a good chance at claiming second in both the drivers’ and constructors’ championship.
Lewis Hamilton currently sits in third on 259 points, just two points behind a resurgent Max Verstappen and Leclerc is in fifth on 245 points, behind his teammate and George Russell - but only 16 points separate the remainder of the top five once the newly crowned champion Kimi Antonelli is removed from the equation.
Second in the constructors’ championship is more than likely tied up for the Scuderia as they hold a commanding 122 point lead over Red Bull but also sit 126 points back from the leaders Mercedes.
