After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Manchester United have been dealt a massive injury blow after it emerged that Benjamin Sesko could be sidelined for up to four months with a shin injury.
The Red Devils splashed around £70m on the Slovenia international in the summer of 2025 to address their goalscoring issues, having missed out on top target Liam Delap to Chelsea for a fraction of the price.
Sesko had a decent first season at Old Trafford, scoring 12 goals in 32 appearances, with just 18 of those coming as a starter. But he also suffered from a number of injury issues across the campaign, which resulted in him missing the final month of the season.
Sesko also missed pre-season due to a shin problem, but returned in the opening games of the season to score as a substitute against Everton, while he also found the net as a starter in the Champions League win over Sabah last month.
But the 23-year-old is back on the sidelines after his shin problem recurred, and according to The Sun, there are now fears he may need surgery to fix it, which would rule him outfor up to four months.
Should those fears be confirmed, it would essentially force the club into the transfer market in January to find cover, with Joshua Zirkzee's place in the squad already in question under Michael Carrick.
Did it happen before or after?
Round 1 of 9
Reports this week have suggested that Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta has emerged as a potential target for the club as they look to bolster their attack, and the France international is understood to be very open to a move to Old Trafford in January.
But the 30-year-old has been dealing with a hamstring injury of his own and is yet to feature this season, while he also failed to secure a move away from Selhurst Park last January after failing a medical with AC Milan due to a knee injury.
The last thing United should be doing is bringing in a player who they can't secure to a long-term deal, and who isn't guaranteed to improve the injury situation, which means they should instead be revisiting their interest in one of Europe's top young forwards.
Man Utd were strongly linked with a move to sign young talent Nicolo Tresoldi in the summer, but Club Brugge didn't want to sell the young superstar unless they received a premium fee.
A £30m bid from AS Roma was rejected earlier in the window, but the player wants to play at the highest level, and it was reported that a move to Old Trafford would greatly appeal to him. After scoring an impressive 23 goals and registering 8 assists in 58 appearances last season, the 22-year-old has netted 9 in 12 appearances this season, continuing his excellent form.
The 'outstanding' forward is still deciding between representing Germany or Italy at international level, but he is impressing at every level of football and United would be smart to take a punt now and bring him in, rather than gambling on an older body not failing.
