Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham must start stepping up their January plans, with less than two months to go into the winter window opens. The Gunners are expected to explore signing a new striker in light of Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz continuing to struggle in attack, with Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi of particular interest, and the likes of Endrick and Julian Alvarez linked.
Man Utd are decided to keep hold of beleagured manager Michael Carrick for now, but a change is still expected this month should results not improve, with Roma and Aston Villa up next. They too will look to strengthen in January either way, with Ivan Toney an attacking target and Jarrad Brathwaite linked to bolster the defence.
One deal which looks very likely to happen is Alex Scott’s move from Bournemouth to Chelsea, while the Blues have cooled interest in Lamine Camara who could be joining Liverpool. Tottenham have also been linked with Scott and Junior Kroupi, and a new striker is likely to be of interest when the window reopens. Liverpool are trying to beat Chelsea to a deal for Lamine Camara.
The Senegal midfielder was poised to move to Stamford Bridge for £47.1m on transfer deadline day in the summer as Xabi Alonso looked to quickly replace Enzo Fernandez, only for Monaco to unexpectedly pull the plug at the 11th hour.
Chelsea are said to remain interested in Camara, who also has admirers at Anfield.
According to The Sun, Liverpool have now made further contact with the player’s camp and asked to be kept closely informed of any developments moving forward.

Xabi Alonso has insisted Estevao is not available for loan in January.
The Brazilian has been peripheral at Chelsea this season, but has been handed a surprise start as the Blues host Man United this afternoon.
It has been reported that Estevao’s frustration with his situation had led club’s to enquire about potential January transfers, but speaking on Friday, Alonso ruled that out unequivocally.
“No discussions about that,” Alonso said at his pre-match press conference. “It’s no secret that all players want to be on the pitch.
“When any of them haven’t had enough minutes because of my decision, I have to take the responsibility for that. But everyone has to be ready because in any game they could be important. Este, his training and his attitude has been good.”

Mikel Arteta believes it is only "a matter of time" until Declan Rice signs a new long-term contract at Arsenal.
The 27-year-old has entered the final two years of his current deal, which he signed when joining the club for £105million in the summer of 2023.
Talks over a new contract began earlier this year and there has always been confidence on both sides that an agreement will be reached.
It is understood that Rice is close to signing that deal, one that will earn him a significant salary increase and take him close to Bukayo Saka on £350,000-a-week as the club's best-paid player.
Official confirmation of that extension has not yet come but Arteta is in no doubt that a positive outcome will be reached.
Asked if he is expecting talks to be finalised soon, Arteta said: "Yeah.”

Manchester United have decided not to sack Michael Carrick following their defeat by Chelsea.
The Red Devils were beaten 2-0 by the Blues on another dark day at Stamford Bridge, taking their winless run to nine matches in all competitions.
Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer got the goals as Lisandro Martinez was sent off for two bookable offences in west London as further pressure piled on the under-fire United head coach.
Now, however, it appears that he will be retained in-post for the club’s next two matches, up to the November international break.
