Bruno Fernandes has returned to the Manchester United starting lineup following a fallout with manager Michael Carrick and will captain the side in their Premier League clash against Chelsea.
Carrick has recalled Fernandes after holding 'clear-the-air' talks with the Portugal midfielder following his criticism of Carrick's tactics at United.
Fernandes was left on the bench in last weekend's defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Carrick handed Harry Maguire the captain's armband in his absence.
The Red Devils have failed to win in eight of their last games in all competitions. They have suffered five defeats and three draws, last earning three points against Sabah in the Champions League on Sept. 1.
Despite the run of poor form, United boss Carrick has kept the faith of the club hierarchy and admitted he was 'not surprised' to have been left in charge for the crunch game at Stamford Bridge.
To face Chelsea, Carrick has called upon Lisandro Martínez in place of Ayden Heaven while Matheus Cunha replaces Mason Mount and Fernandes takes the spot of Youri Tielemans.
