Everton were narrowly beaten by Arsenal on Saturday, but there are plenty of positives to take from the game, with Pat Nevin thrilled by one player.
As Storm Boelo struck the UK on Saturday, Everton succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in the rain of North London.
This meant a consecutive defeat for previously undefeated Everton, albeit in two games in which they were underdogs. Despite the result, there were positives for Everton, along with some disappointing lows.
Reacting to the game, Pat Nevin was absolutely enthralled by the performance of one player in an Everton kit.

Everton lose 2-0 at Arsenal… what did you make of that performance? 😕
Tyrique George was once again a positive for Everton with his performance from the left wing, despite not getting rewarded for his display.
George’s performance saw him earn an admirer in the form of Pat Nevin, who was providing punditry for the BBC on their live text coverage of the game.
“Tyrique George is afraid of absolutely no one,” Nevin explained. “He’ll take you on, ask the question, and if he gets it wrong, he’ll do the same again next time.
“It’s great to see that belief and confidence, and also the backing of his manager to do that. He’s looking the most dangerous.”
George’s performance saw him play the full game, terrorising Ben White throughout.
It was a day that saw George prove to Moyes why he should be playing more football and needs to be one of the first names on the teamsheet.
In his performance against the reigning champions, George had completed two key passes, two dribbles, and 22 carries on the ball.
Defensively, he was also strong, making two tackles, three recoveries, and winning five duels in the game. A busy afternoon at the Emirates for George and one that should see him earn his start next weekend.
George makes Everton a better, more unpredictable side with his explosiveness, which even the best defence in the league couldn’t quite get a handle on.
Moyes urged patience from the likes of George this week, but George continues to make his case to be playing ahead of more senior options.
