Fans of the Turkish club were in Scotland to support the Superlig side against Celtic in a league phase match on Thursday night.

Footage shared on social media has now revealed clashes between fans of the visiting club and police officers inside Celtic Park.

The short video showed pushing and shoving between supporters and police officers at the front of the away enclosure at Parkhead.

A mass of police officers could be seen gathered in front of the packed away section, with around 2,700 Besiktas supporters in attendance for the match.

It's unclear what sparked the altercation, but supporters can be seen furious at the police as pushing and shoving broke out.

It appears objects were also thrown from the stand where the Besiktas supporters were housed during the clash.

Besiktas fell to a 3-2 defeat in Glasgow after Celtic came back from a goal down to take their first win in the league phase.

Callum Osmand and a double from Camilo Duran were enough for Martin O'Neill's side to take all three points.
