The Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Baltimore Ravens 33-10 on Thursday Night Football, but wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. didn’t have a single target. Over the last four weeks, Thomas has just one catch. On the season, he has just 10 catches for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he is the 54th-ranked receiver in PFN’s WR Impact Score.
That’s a major drop-off from Thomas’ monster 2024 campaign when he finished as the sixth-best receiver in this metric after totaling 87 receptions, 1,282 yards, and 10 touchdowns.
Thomas’ limited usage has only fueled the trade rumors involving the Jaguars WR. It remains to be seen if Jacksonville will deal the 24-year-old, but Pro Football Network asked our NFL analysts which landing spot would be best for Thomas if he does get dealt prior to the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
“Sam Darnold hasn’t looked good and Drew Lock isn’t any different. Improving the QB position isn’t going to happen and the sheer volume of RBs makes a big move on that front unlikely. I’m not sure it’s optimal for Thomas’ fantasy value, but in terms of impacting how this season plays out, you could talk me into the defending champs taking a swing, understanding that they don’t have much to lose.”
“Thomas would give them a field-stretching weapon with size and speed, and there’s the potential that he could bounce back to his Pro Bowl ways and be a long-term piece for Kansas City; he is just 24 years old, after all.”
