Leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams were a popular choice to select a wide receiver or possibly even a tight end in the first round. Of course, the Rams opted against those positions, waiting until the sixth round to select a receiver, but they did take a tight end in Round 2. Still, with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams headed into the final year of their contracts, the Rams’ decision to largely ignore the receiver position came as a surprise.
Now that Adams has ruptured his hamstring and is expected to be out for 6 to 10 weeks, the Rams will surely have to respond by adding another receiver. Interestingly enough, they opted to head into their Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders without making a major addition. However, with the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline approaching quickly, the Rams could soon add another receiver to the roster.
Here are 10 different receivers the Rams could trade for in the next few days or weeks.
He may not be the most enticing option available, but if the Rams want to make a minimal investment in solving their receiver need, trading for someone like Hollywood Brown could make a lot of sense. He’s surely on the trade block after being active for just one game and seeing no targets thus far. Meanwhile, the 29-year-old still recorded a respectable 587 yards and five touchdowns last season, and now he could help the Rams too.
While he’s more known for his blocking prowess, Jauan Jennings has shown he can be a productive pass-catcher too. He recorded 975 yards in 2024 and nine touchdowns in 2025. Plus, Sean McVay may like the extra blocking advantages that the 6-foot-3, 212-pound receiver brings to the table. The question is whether Matthew Stafford will have more luck finding Jennings in open space than the Vikings’ QBs have.
Maybe the Rams want more of a long-term fix since both Puka Nacua and Adams are on expiring contracts, but if it’s just a short-term plug-and-play solution, then why not consider someone like Keenan Allen? While he hasn’t shown much with the Colts, is that a product of the offense’s struggles overall, or is the six-time Pro Bowler washed up? As a six-time Pro Bowler and 1,000-yard receiver, Allen is someone worth taking a shot on. Plus, he wouldn’t cost anything more than a later Day 3 pick via trade.
Again, not the most exciting choice here, but Chris Godwin Jr. is a proven pass-catcher as a former Pro Bowler with four 1,000-yard seasons to his name. While he’s still just 30 years old, Godwin made it through just nine games last season, recording 360 yards in the process. The year prior, he was limited to 576 yards in seven games. The last time he was available for a full season, he went off for 1,024 yards, but that was three years ago. Facing a $33.9 million cap hit for 2027, the Buccaneers are likely itching to ditch his contract, which means he’s probably available for pennies on the dollar.
NFL trade rumors surrounding Jerry Jeudy broke out a few weeks ago, but the Cleveland Browns have a winning record. Though, there’s a chance that a strong enough offer pries the veteran away from Cleveland, as he’s clearly no higher than fourth in the pecking order behind younger pass-catchers such as Denzel Boston, Harold Fannin Jr., and K.C. Concepcion. Still just 27 years old and a former Pro Bowler, a change of scenery may do the receiver some good, and he could find a long-term home in L.A.
There was a time when it looked like Calvin Ridley could become one of the NFL’s most dominant receivers, like when he had 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns in just 15 games. Now eight years into his career, the 31-year-old has three 1,000-yard seasons to his name, but was limited to just seven games and 306 yards in 2025. He’s surely seeking a change of scenery with a fluttering passing game in Tennessee while Cam Ward continues to figure life out in the NFL. Who knows? Maybe the Rams can unlock the old Ridley again. If so, they could have a serious playmaker on their hands.
A player who may be primed for a breakout season with a better opportunity, Josh Downs is a prime candidate to be traded as he’s in a contract year. The 25-year-old has never had fewer than 566 yards in a season, but also never more than 803. Still, if the Rams want a No. 3 receiver who could offer No. 2 production for an extended stretch, and possibly for the foreseeable future, Downs may be the perfect candidate.
Already a popular trade candidate with the emergence of Parker Washington and the presence of Jakobi Meyers plus Travis Hunter, once Brian Thomas Jr. didn’t play a single snap after halftime in the team’s Week 6 loss, it sent a clear signal. If teams want the 24-year-old former Pro Bowler, they can surely get him for the right price. Thomas has already shown he can play at a high level after a 1,282-yard, 10-touchdown rookie season. Yet, for whatever reason, he’s fallen out of favor in Jacksonville. He could be someone who realizes his true potential under coach McVay.
Someone who’s an unlikely candidate but could become an outside-the-box target, Garrett Wilson would be another long-term solution if the Rams are willing to double down on going all-in. The New York Jets spent two first-round picks on pass-catchers in the 2026 NFL Draft; could a strong offer convince them to trade their three-time 1,000-yard receiver?
Would the New Orleans Saints be eager to trade the 26-year-old Chris Olave? Probably not; they just signed him to a four-year, $124 million extension in July, but they did spend a first-round pick on Jordyn Tyson, who should return around the NFL trade deadline. The fifth-year pro has three 1,000-yard seasons to his name, so it would likely take a very strong offer to jar him loose, especially to another team in the NFC, but Les Snead has been known to get aggressive.
