PISCATAWAY – If Rutgers football is going to beat Michigan today, it needs to be as healthy as possible and it needs to play as consistently as possible.
One of those things has already taken a hit. We’ll soon find out if the Scarlet Knights can live up to the other one.
Greg Schiano’s team today is without starting quarterback Dylan Lonergan, who suffered an injury in last week’s loss to Northwestern.
That means AJ Surace or Sean Ashenfelder will get the start today against the Wolverines (12:30 p.m., Big Ten Network) at SHI Stadium.
Michigan is coming off an overtime loss to defending champion Indiana. The Wolverines boast an elite defense but have struggled badly on offense – they’re starting a true freshman quarterback in Tommy Carr.
Can Rutgers find a way to pull off a win?
